One thing that I noticed instantly between her live performances is that she has her own formula for each character she portrays, gesture, transition, and interpretation of abstract ideas and she recycles those with minor changes that make her performances engaging to me. It's quite challenging to perform one woman shows and I got to admit I have yet to encounter an actor who really pulls it off! She is not totally off the wall dramatic but uses subtle hand gestures that make it clear to the audience what she is referring to, she uses a great deal of voice dynamics to emphasis a point or to distinguish a character, and moves when necessary to her. I like how when she interprets a man, she doesn't use a dramatic, husky voice, but uses a slight change in her voice. Also, she has a fantastic voice! So basically when she alludes to a community or atmosphere, she gives it dignity and justice.
